For anyone between the ages of 8 and 108 years old, who wants brighten up their days and train their skills to ask powerful questions.
HOW TO USE
Shuffle the cards and, without looking, pick one card. Read the question and think about it. Pay attention to everything that comes to your mind. You can use the free-writing technique and write down all thoughts related to the question for about 10 minutes.
Read the inspirational quote and use the positive affirmation (if you wish). The positive affirmation can be repeated every morning and every evening or you can also write it down as many times as you feel comfortable with.
WITH CHILDREN, FRIENDS OR TEAMS FOR BOOSTING CREATIVITY
(recommended for not more than 5-6 people)
All participants pick a random card from the deck and answer the question. Then, all participants, starting with the youngest one, have to make up a story (real or unreal).
How it works: use the questions on each picked card as milestones to create your story. For example, if you are 3 people - your story will be based on 3 questions. If you are 5 people - your story will be based on 5 questions. The more the questions, the more challenging and funnier it gets.
When you get very good at your stories - you can start creating them not only based on the questions of the participants but also on their answers.
This exercise is the perfect fitness for your brain. Answering questions stimulate analytical thinking (roughly speaking the left hemisphere), and storytelling stimulates the imagination (right hemisphere). And by switching between the left and the right hemisphere you are improving your creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Another way that works great for both adults and children and encourages personal interpretation and expression, along with creativity, is to answer the questions in a drawing. It doesn't matter what your drawing level is. What matters is you to know what you are drawing. This produces strong visual images that stimulate the right hemisphere of the brain.
When working in a group, there are two ways to approach it - either each person of the group picks a separate question and draws the answer or the whole group draws the answer to one question. In both cases is good to share with the group the experience and the findings group members encounter during the process. Set a time limit to the drawing process.
IN A TEAM / GROUP - FOR WEEKLY OR INTRODUCTORY MEETINGS
Let everybody pick a card and then make them briefly introduce themselves by answering the question they have gotten. Then you can also ask the participants to answer the question by relating it to their work or project.
